Hello and Welcome
My very first post on Substack - how exciting!
Welcome to Eating, Sleeping and Breathing Words with Lucy Felthouse. For those of you who don’t know me, here’s my author bio:
Lucy Felthouse is the award-winning author of erotic romance novels Stately Pleasures (named in the top 5 of Cliterati.co.uk’s 100 Modern Erotic Classics That You’ve Never Heard Of), Eyes Wide Open (winner of the Love Romances Café’s Best Ménage Book 2015 award), The Persecution of the Wolves, Hiding in Plain Sight, Curve Appeal, and The Heiress’s Harem and The Dreadnoughts series. Including novels, short stories and novellas, she has over 170 publications to her name. Find out more about her and her writing at http://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/linktree
I hope you’ll join me on this new and exciting journey. I’m very much learning as I go, so please bear with me. I plan to publish at least fortnightly, possibly more - but I’d prefer to under promise and over deliver than the other way around. Aside from this post, which I’m adding so my lovely Substack doesn’t look so bare and to get things kicked off, I’m not sure yet when I’ll be posting, i.e. what day and time. I’m still absorbing the information and advice I’ve been receiving.
What I do know is I’ll be covering all manner of topics relating to my working life, which sees me with my fingers in lots of pies. As well as writing, I also work in editing, proofreading, marketing and more. There might also be other posts about things which aren’t necessarily related to those things, but that I think you might be interested in. Hopefully as things progress, you’ll let me know what floats your boat, and what doesn’t, so I can tailor my posts accordingly.
I know things are tough right now, so there’ll be a mix of free and paid-for content - a bit of something for everyone. Either way, know your support is very much appreciated. At the moment I’m still figuring out perks for paid subscribers and founding members, but since I’m a creative I hope you’ll trust me to come up with something fabulous!
Finally, before I sign off on this post, I’d like to ask a favour (yes, it has a ‘u’ since I’m from the UK and I’ll be writing this with UK spelling). If you think your friends and family will enjoy this Substack, please use the button below to let them know about it. I’d love to build a thriving community here, so the more, the merrier! Thank you.
Lucy x
